The 5th Annual Community Block Party took place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 pm at Windsor High School. This celebration brings together students, families, educators, community organizations, and local partners to kick off the new school year.
Through the continued partnership and support of Amazon’s Jerome Smith, Head of Community Engagement (New England & Canada), Glendowlyn Thames, Head of Economic Development (CT, D.C., MD, NY), and many other team members, Amazon's impact has extended well beyond the Block Party. Windsor students have recently participated in tours of Amazon's BDL4 facility, gaining firsthand exposure to technology, robotics, operations, and the wide range of career opportunities within the company. Amazon has extended its reach by participating in the district's Education 2 Business Speaker Series, connecting directly with students and sharing their professional experiences, career journeys, and lessons about the skills needed to thrive in today's workforce.
