Poquonock Students are performing a strings concert

"Do you want a pickle on your ice cream sandwich?"

What an odd question to ask! However, students at Poquonock Elementary knew the correct answer right away. Using their musical skills, they proudly told us everything about ice cream and pickle sandwiches during their Winter Strings Concert. That performance was just one of the highlights as our student musicians took the stage to show off what they’ve been working on all year.

From the playful "Pickle" song to a classic performance of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," the progress these kids have shown is incredible. The auditorium was packed with proud parents, enjoying the performance of their creative, committed, and courageous kiddos.

A huge thank you to the music teachers who keep things fun (and occasionally pickle-themed) and to the parents for encouraging their children to pursue music. Our Poquonock stars are definitely shining bright!

P.S. Special shoutout to those who dressed up for our 100th day celebration as well - parents loved seeing 100-year-old elementary students and teachers!
