A staff member enjoying a lecture on AI

This month, Windsor Public Schools hosted districtwide professional development that was all about growth, balance, and taking care of the people who take care of our students.

The morning focused on learning and practice. Our teachers explored creative and responsible ways to use AI to enhance instruction and student learning, while our paraprofessionals engaged in deep professional learning around effective strategies to support students with ASD.

The second half of the day shifted intentionally to wellness, self-care, and staff social-emotional learning. We believe deeply that happy adults lead to happy students, and well-supported adults are better able to care for and support the children we serve every day.

Thanks to grant funding secured explicitly for staff SEL initiatives, we were able to invest in our educators and staff in a meaningful way and show appreciation for the important work they do.

Thanks to all who organized our PD and to those who participated in a day of learning, connection, and care across our district.
