This month marks a pivotal moment for Windsor Public Schools (WPS) as we officially welcome a newly elected Board of Education leadership team, including President Ayana Taylor. In a commitment to enhanced transparency and community engagement, WPS is excited to announce that, starting with these November 2025 meeting highlights, we will now post monthly recaps of Board of Education meetings on our website. This initiative ensures that all members of the Windsor community can easily stay informed about key leadership decisions, policy approvals, budget discussions, and the strategic direction guiding our schools.

Board Orientation and Strategic Planning Overview (Nov. 15): The Board received formal training from Attorney Thomas Mooney and reviewed the BOE goals, mission, vision, and the Strategic Operating Plan 25-30, setting the direction for the next several years.
Achievements and Recognitions (Nov. 18): The Board celebrated 6 students from SPMS and WHS who received various CAPPS awards. Awards for Sage Park Middle School—Audrey Khang, Academic Excellence; Arielle Hutchinson, Community Service; Kayshaneque Stewart, Leadership. Additionally, Dr. Hady shared with the public our district accountability report and the gains we have made over the past year.
Audience to the Public (Nov. 18): The Board also heard the community’s opinion on changing the band credit to match that of every other class offered at WHS. Dr. Hady explained to the public the rationale for the school making this recommendation to the board and the next steps for finding equitable and fair ways to incentivise the band program, as well as all other programs that require a tremendous amount of out-of-class time.
