President David J. Furie, a member of the Windsor Board of Education, recently achieved the level of Master Board of Education Member in the CABE Board Member Academy for the 2024-2025 school year.

President Furie was one of five board of education members recognized for their achievement in attaining this level by participating in numerous hours of board-related professional development activities for the 2024-2025 school year. To achieve the Master of Board of Education level, a board member must first accumulate at least 20 credits, becoming a Certified Board of Education Member (CBEM). The Master Board of Education member must earn an additional 20 credits above and beyond the CBEM level. The areas of study are: Leadership, Effective Meetings, School/Community Relations, Strategic Planning, Group Dynamics, Board Member Ethics, School Finance, Labor Relations, and School Law.

"CABE is pleased to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of members of Boards of Education across Connecticut who have attained the Master Board of Education member level," said CABE President Leonard Lockhart.

"Board members attaining the Master Board of Education Member level are recognized for their very strong, ongoing commitment to their own professional development and a willingness to address a broad range of relevant issues to ensure high-quality educational opportunities for all students in Connecticut."

Windsor Announces Appointment of Quinn Fleeting as Interim Head Coach

Windsor, CT – July 11, 2025 – Windsor Football is proud to announce the appointment of Quinn Fleeting as the new Interim Head Coach of the Windsor High School Football team, effective immediately. Fleeting brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a winning mindset to the program, as the team looks to build on recent momentum and chart a path toward sustained success.

Fleeting is known for player development, team culture and strategic mindset. “We feel like there are many talented young coaches in our program that can step into this role, and we are thrilled to welcome Fleeting to the family,” said Athletic Director, Christopher Fulton. “He brings the passion, discipline, and strategic vision we need to continue the success of this program.”

In accepting the role, Fleeting shared, “I would like to thank our Superintendent, Athletic Director and Principal for allowing me and this staff to continue to lead these young men. Our main goal will stay the same, and that’s using the game of football to develop our student athletes to become great young men, great sons and positive pillars in their community. Football is the fun part, but preparing our kids for life has always been our culture and that won’t change.”

The Warriors will begin training under Fleeting immediately, with high hopes for a strong upcoming season!

A night to remember. A legacy honored. A concert that touched hearts. The Spring Choral Concert at Windsor High School was more than a performance—it was a celebration of award winning music, community, and the remarkable influence of Dr. Tracee White. From emotional Senior Spotlights to powerful harmonies by the Gospel Choir, the energy was electric. The most touching moment? Students presenting Dr. White with a heartfelt Teacher of a Lifetime Award and serenading her with a surprise Happy Birthday they composed themselves. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Huge thanks to our talented students and returning alumni for making the evening unforgettable. #weareWINdsor #MusicMatters #TeacherOfALifetime
