Poquonock students have been hard at work at academics and at taking care of our community locally and globally. We had Caribbean Day to raise money in response to Hurricane Melissa- we raised over $400. Dress Like a Character from a Book Day was so much fun. Next week kicks off our Food Drive Month to Fill the Pantry for our Local Food Bank and make sure all families are well feed for Thanksgiving. Monday is a BIG Day- The POQ SEL-ebration at 9:00am, Coffee and Tea with the Principals at 9:30am, Mr. Mihalko reading at Windsor Public Library at 5:00pm, and POQ PTO Meeting at Poquonock at 6:00pm. Students that come with their parents to the PTO Meeting will be provided childcare and make a cool scarecrow craft. Then Friday we will have our Turkey Trot and School Assembly. ~Mr. Mihalko and Mrs. Romero
