Led and organized entirely by students, with the guidance of the esteemed Dr. Monica Brase, Wellness Day is a shining example of the incredible potential our young leaders possess when it comes to their own social-emotional well-being.

At Windsor Public Schools, we believe in empowering students to take ownership of their education, and that includes their social and emotional health. That's why initiatives like Wellness Day are so important. By giving students the opportunity to lead and organize an event dedicated to promoting well-being, we're not just teaching them valuable skills; we're showing them that they have the power to make a real difference in their own lives and the lives of their peers.

Under Dr. Brase's guidance and the SEL pillars put in place by Dr. Mallery and his team of Social Emotional Learning Specialists, our students have embraced their role as leaders in shaping the culture of Windsor High School. They've worked tirelessly to create a day filled with workshops, activities, and discussions designed to foster self-awareness, resilience, empathy, and mindfulness.

But Wellness Day is more than just a one-time event; it's a reflection of the ongoing commitment we have to social-emotional learning at Windsor High School. Through initiatives like morning check-ins, peer mentoring programs, and classroom discussions, we're creating a culture where students feel supported, valued, and empowered to take control of their own social-emotional health.

We couldn't be prouder of the incredible work being done by our students and staff at Windsor High School. By embracing their role as leaders in their own social-emotional development, they're not just preparing themselves for success; they're setting an example for future generations of Windsor students to follow.

In closing, we want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Monica Brase, our dedicated educators, and, most importantly, our students for their unwavering commitment to creating a school community where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we're shaping the leaders of tomorrow, and the future is bright indeed. #weareWINdsor
