Lieutenant Neary of the Windsor PD was AMAZING and kind enough to have Windsor police employees who are bilingual make a video for us to watch when we arrived. They spoke to us in Arabic, French, Portuguese, and Polish. Our students were contently listening to their every word. She explained her uniform and what police officers carry on them at all times, we visited the briefing room, were able to meet the 911 dispatcher‘s and view the dispatch office, meet the new K-9 puppy (who we may have a chance to name in the near future!!), sat in a real police car, heard the sirens and saw the lights, saw a police drone and how it works, and even visited the booking area where they do fingerprints and viewed a jail cell. It’s was such a learning experience for all of us!
