📢 Windsor, Let’s Talk Health! 🩺🗺️
Have 10 minutes to spare? Help shape the future of health in OUR town by taking the Community Health Needs Assessment Survey 📝 and trying out a super cool Interactive Map 🗺️!
👉🏾 Why should YOU participate?
• 🏥 Share what’s working and what’s not when it comes to staying healthy in Windsor.
• 💬 Speak up about mental health, physical health, and what YOU think we need more of!
• 📍 Use the map to tell us what makes it easier (or harder) to stay healthy where YOU live, work, and play.
Example: Mark your favorite walking trail 🏃🏾♀️ or a spot where you wish we had a park 🌳!
🔊 Your voice = real change!
Together, we can help the Windsor Health Department focus on what matters most to YOU and your family.
🕐 It only takes 10-12 minutes and all responses are 100% confidential.

Adriel, from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, taught us the song of Puerto Rico, “Que Bonita Bandera”, and about coqui’s, the islands native frog and much more! Thank you for being our Cultural Spotlight! #joyfullearningcommunity #weareWINdsor

Temperatures are freezing outside ❄️, but inside, our students are turning up the heat! From imaginative play building SEL skills to exploring STEM concepts with LEGO and Magna-Tiles, indoor recess is now linked to learning and packed with fun! 🔥 #weareWINdsor 👐🏽 (We ♥️ to see it OE!!)

At Oliver Ellsworth we have a blast learning, Purposeful Play in action.

There’s nothing like the energy of a new year—hallways buzzing, minds ready to grow, and hearts full of possibilities! 🧠✨ #ThinkingThursday: With the Instructional Core Wheel guiding the way, we’re here to develop the genius in every child. Let’s make this year one of critical thinking, collaboration, and inspired learning. #weareWINdsor 👐🏽 (📸 We ♥️ to see it POQ and OE!)

Happy Holidays to the Oliver Ellsworth Family.

Our WPS cabinet members celebrated our incredible Central Office team at our annual holiday luncheon! 🎉🎄 Behind every successful school day are the dedicated departments and individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our district running smoothly. From operations and HR to finance, PSES, food services, maintenance, technology, and curriculum support—you are the heartbeat that allows our leaders, teachers, and staff to focus on what matters most: our students and community. ❤️✨ #weareWINdsor

Last week the cultural spotlight was Habene from Ethiopia. He enriched us with Amharic alphabet sounds, words, and writing. 🇪🇹 #joyfullearningcommunity #weareWINdsor

Congratulations to these hard working huskies! Each of these students received our iready certificate for excellence in math! #joyfullearningcommunity #weareWINdsor 🥳🥇

Today teachers had to drink out of something that isn't a cup. Just for fun. Tomorrow is PJ day for adults AND students.

💡 #ThinkingThursday: At Oliver Ellsworth, even our youngest learners in Pre-K through 2nd grade are diving into thinking tasks that challenge and inspire! Teachers are giving students exciting options to process, create, and learn, all guided by our Instructional Core Wheel. The possibilities are endless! #weareWINdsor 👐🏽 📸: We ♥️ to see it OE!

Having faculty fun at OE this week. Yesterday's theme was Dress Like Your Work Bestie.

UPDATE: Due to the condition of the roads, all Windsor Public Schools will be closed today, December 5th. Tree House will open at 8:00 AM at John F. Kennedy School, and offices will open at 10:00 AM.

Ms. Illingsworth, MLL teacher, ensures all cultures are celebrated. Diversity is our strength!

Utilizing data to differentiate for each student is hard work. We love how individualized teaching and learning is at OE. Fostering critical thinking each and every day.
