Childcare for District Staff

Child Care Program Goals:

  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment for student(s) to engage and complete assigned school work activities

  • Develop a relationship with student(s) and parent(s) so student(s) can be most successful while the Windsor Public Schools employee is able to work.

DURING COVID

As of 8/20/20,  we will be running on the Tier 2: hybrid model affording AM and PM options for families of students in groups M/T and TH/F only. There will be no care on Wednesdays for distance learning days. We will advise of changes if and when they become available. We will not be able to provide drop-in opportunities. Holidays i.e. Columbus Day, Election Day, etc will only be open to families on their grouping day. Therefore if your grouping day lands on a Monday and there is no school you should sign up for Wednesday of that week.

Child Care Eligibility:

  • Student(s) of WPS Staff in Grades: Kindergarten through Seventh Grade

  • Student(s) must be capable of managing general daily tasks with minimal support, such as eating snacks/lunch, using the restroom, etc.

*Assisted 1:1 toileting and feeding by the childcare provider will not be available.
