End of Year Technology Information for Families flyer

Dear WPS Families,

The end of the school year is fast approaching and we are in the process of ensuring that all student devices will be ready for next school year. 

Current Windsor Public Schools students in grades 5-11 will take home their Chromebooks or laptops for the summer unless they know they will not return to Windsor Public Schools for the 2021-22 school year.  Students in grades PK-4 and Grade 12 will return their student devices as detailed below.

  • Grade 12 students who attend school in person and distance learners will return their laptops or Chromebooks on Wednesday, June 9 at Windsor High.  Seniors will return Chromebooks or laptops, cases, and chargers. Seniors who do not return laptops on Wednesday, June 9 will be billed $400 for replacement and $25 for a missing charger. 

  • Grades PK-4 students who attend school in person will return their assigned iPads or Chromebooks on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 15 (an early release day for all students). iPads and Chromebooks, cases, and chargers will be collected by each student’s homeroom teacher. 

  • Grades PK-4 Distance Learning students in will return their iPads or Chromebooks will return their iPads or Chromebooks, cases and chargers to LP Wilson.

    • Dates: Tuesday,  June 15th - Friday, June 18th

    • Time:  8AM - 4PM

    • Location: LP Wilson Center 601 Matianuck Ave

    • Check in with security at the main entrance with the sliding doors.

  • Grades 6-11 students who will not be returning to Sage Park or Windsor High School in the fall should return their Chromebooks or laptops, cases, and chargers to Mr. Shaw or Mr. Nguyen in either Windsor High School library or Sage Park Library on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 15

  • Grade 5 students who will not be returning to Sage Park in the fall should return their Chromebook, case, and charger to their homeroom teacher. 

 A student whose device is being collected, should do the following:

  • Remove any stickers placed on the device by the student. All devices need to be turned in free of any stickers placed on by the student. Please leave the labels added by the school district containing the asset # and/or student’s name on the device. 

  • Locate and bring to school their device’s power supply and case.
