Book review Guideline

This paper, which you will be doing monthly, is intended to give you some insight that our class cannot. I do understand the time commitment this takes which is why it is imperative that you find books to read that are of particular interest to you, making this research more meaningful and possibly more personal.

This is not a book report. Chances are good I have read the book you have selected and if I have not I certainly will review it before you turn this paper in each month therefore I do not want you to recite the story.

I am looking for you to be able to decipher from your reading the theme or themes, patterns of behavior, or even the questions this book potentially leaves you with.

The first page is a research component on the subfield, or subject, depicted in your book. If your book is based on a particular Genocide your paper will be on that subject. It must include statistics and any other empirical data you can find on this subject AS WELL AS why you chose this particular subject.

If your book is based for example on Kakia, female genital mutilation, you must write your first page of the paper on the history of this tragedy as well as why you choose this subject

All statistics must be cited as well as passages from the book WHICH YOU MUST HAVE.
