The Cay

Most likely, you've never read the book, The Cay.  But as soon as you look at the picture on the cover of the book and read the back of the book, you have some idea what the book is about, right?  To what extent can you judge a book by its cover?

Your teachers have made a list of important topics that appear in The Cay.  Based only on the cover of The Cay and what you learn about your topic, predict what you think will happen in the book.  You will record your predictions in the form of a postcard to someone in your class.

Then stay tuned throughout the unit to check not only your predictions but also the predictions of the rest of your class as you actually read The Cay.
