Welcome to the World of Mathematics.
In Mrs. Wilcox’s Math class, students should come to class each day prepared with:
· Dry erase markers · Their blue math journal · Their Sage Park agenda · Pencils · Any homework that has not yet been corrected in class
At home students should have: · a ruler for homework that may require it · A calculator to check their work
Homework must be submitted on the day it is due, at the beginning of class.
· Homework not submitted at this time loses the opportunity to be corrected in a timely fashion; and students can lose at least one of the two points it is worth. · If homework is not received in class by the following day, both points are lost.
· If a student has been absent, he or she will be given an extension based on the number of days absent.
*Remember, it is the student’s responsibility to obtain and turn in all the missed work.
Whenever there is no homework assigned, it is always a good rule for students to practice the multiplication facts. Parents can remind their children that they can use the facts that they remember to help them with the facts they do not remember.
For instance, if 6 x 2 = 12, then 6 x 4 is equal to double that of 12, which is 24.
There are so many ways to practice math and have fun with it, too. |
