The beginning of World War II with the German invasion of Poland in 1939 again caused death and destruction throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Indeed, this was truly a world war in scope and the end in Hiroshima and Nagasaki brought warfare to a new and deadly level. The Holocaust and other atrocities committed in the name of a belief or a ruler would show the world that we must always be vigilant in the face of such behaviors.
