The
Windsor Board of Education requires that each student be
registered prior to being allowed to enter the school
system.
All
students under the age of 18 must have their parent or
guardian complete the process.
The
office is located at the L.P. Wilson Community
Center, 601 Matianuck Avenue, Room 8, Windsor, CT.
You may contact us by e-mail
or phone us at 860-687-2000, extension 263.
The
Registrar’s Office will validate residency and inform
the school that you are a legal resident of Windsor. In
order for children to be registered, we need the
following:
-
A
completed Registration Form
-
Birth
certificate (long form)
-
Guardianship Papers (if applicable)
-
Proof
of residence. A copy of lease agreement and one
utility bill or a mortgage statement and one
utility bill (telephone, gas, or electric).
-
A Certificate of Residency
form IF you live with another family.
The
Registrar’s Office will determine the school that your
child will be attending and inform this school that you
have completed Step 1 of the registration process.
Immunization
Record &
Updated Physical Medical Exam
You
will need:
-
Any
immunization record you have (to show that you meet
the State of Connecticut requirements to enter a
Connecticut school).
-
If
you are new to Connecticut, you will need a new
updated (physical) medical exam. This medical
assessment will have to be recorded on a State of
Connecticut form.
-
If
you are transferring from a school within Connecticut,
please obtain a copy of your last physical from either
your previous school or your physician’s office.
Students
can not enter into the system unless they meet the State
