In accordance with State of Connecticut Pubic Act 09-199, the Connecticut Department of Public Safety is now obligated to notify school superintendents whenever a released sex offender resides, or intends to reside in their school district.

When the Superintendent of Schools receives a specific notification from the CT Department of Public Safely that a registered sexual offender is being released into the Windsor community, the notification from the CT Department of Public Safety will be posted here.

In addition, school district personnel shall cross-reference the CT Department of Public Safety's sexual offender registry prior to hiring any new employees. Registration as a sexual offender constitutes grounds for denial of employment opportunities in the Windsor Public Schools.
